(English follows) Le boulevard Industriel à Châteauguay sera complètement reconstruit.

The reconstruction of the boulevard will be done in a first phase between Autoroute 30 to Pascal street. In a second phase, the rest of the boulevard will be completed, between Pascal and St-Jean-Baptiste Blvd. Concrete and experimental project Thanks to a partnership agreement with Laval University, part of the boulevard will be insulated with an experimental material in cellular glass. ‘’But since this type of insulation has never been tested in our climate, we decided to limit its use to a small part of the boulevard,’’ the Mayor explains. ‘’The rest will be insulated with blocks of Styrofoam. As far as the surface is concerned, it will be in concrete,’’ the Mayor says. Moreover, the City on June 20 held an information meeting with the enterprises and landlords from the Industrial Park in order to inform them of the work being prepared. ‘’One of the challenges is that the concrete cannot be used during the three days after it has been poured,’’ Routhier explains. ‘’There will therefore be detours during certain periods. It is that, among other things, that we wanted to discuss with the owners of the enterprises,’’ he concludes. (Translation Dan Rosenburg)
