At their public meeting of June 15, Chateauguay’s elected officials awarded two contracts totalling $2.4 million to repair City streets One 2.1 million contract was given to Eurovia Consruction to proceed with repairing the roadways of Trudeau, Austin, St. Charles, Bernard, De Champlain, Brebeuf, Chevrefils, Lefebvre and the access road to the Fernand Seguin Ecological Centre parking lot The other pact, for the amount of $320,000, went to Les Pavages Ultra for repairing the roadways and cracks in the municipality’s streets.   The City foresees authorizing a million dollars more in 2020 for the resurfacing of its roads. The streets remain to be determined, Mayor Pierre-Paul Routhier indicated. He said that his administration had doubled the annual budget of repairing thoroughfares, bringing that sum to $3 M. D’Anjou Blvd. Mayor Routhier indicated that the possibility of advancing the repairs to D’Anjou Blvd. would be examined. Restoring it to good shape was supposed to be done following the improvement of some buildings bordering the curb, but the pandemic changed the plan, he let it be known.”D’Anjou Blvd. is the most used artery in the City of Chateauguay,” the Mayor emphasized.
