Élections Châteauguay : un ancien candidat à la mairie brigue un poste de conseiller

Un ancien candidat à la mairie de Châteauguay, Michel Énault, tentera de se faire élire comme conseiller municipal dans le district Du Filgate (2) aux prochaines élections.

Dans un communiqué le 24 juillet, l’équipe de Pierre-Paul Routhier, dont M. Énault fait partie, le décrit comme quelqu’un «de très connu pour ses activités communautaires et pour sa participation à de nombreuses campagnes de financement. M. Énault est entre autres à l’origine de la reconstruction d’une maison qui a brûlé, sans frais pour la famille propriétaire», informe-t-on. L’aspirant conseiller dit également être intéressé par le dossier du transport en commun. Il critique notamment, dans le même communiqué, «l’inaction de l’administration en place malgré les améliorations qui avaient été promises».

M. Énault avait été candidat au poste de maire lors des élections de 2009 avec son parti Équipe Michel Énault- Parti Châteauguay. Il est également propriétaire de l’entreprise Énault électrique à Châteauguay. Il affrontera aux prochaines élections un nouveau venu, Daniel Paillé, qui succède à Pierre Gloutnay dans l’équipe de la mairesse Nathalie Simon. Conseiller en poste, M. Gloutnay ne sollicite pas de nouveau mandat.

Municipal elections : Ex-mayoral candidate seeks post of councillor 

A former Chateauguay mayoral candidate, Michel Enault, will try his luck for the post of city councillor in the district of Filgate (2) in November.

In a communique dated July 24, Pierre-Paul Routhier's team for which Enault is running, Enault is described as someone « very well known for his community activities and for his participation in numerous financing campaigns. Enault, among other things, was at the origin of reconstructing a house that had burned down, at no cost to the family that owned it, » we are informed. The aspiring alderman says he is also interested in the public transport file. In the same press release, he notably criticizes « the inaction of the administration in place despite the improvements that had been promised. »

Énault had been a candidate for the mayoralty in the 2009 elections with his Michel Enault-Parti Chateauguay Team. He is also owner of the Enault electrical enterprise in Chateauguay. In the coming election, he will oppose Daniel Paille, who succeeds Pierre Gloutnay on Mayoress Nathalie Simon's team. Gloutnay, the outgoing councillor, will not be running for re-election.
