The Chateauguay hockey milieu is in mourning following the tragic death of Daniel Hébert. The Chateauguay resident was a coach of two teams, including the Howard S. Billings High School Blazers.     Hébert was coach of the Billings Bantam Blazers.‘’Dan came on board this season and was excited to work with the players and staff. Dan’s passion for the game and the players was evident from day one. He liked the direction the hockey program was going in and wanted to be a part of it. Dan will be missed by the players and by the staff, We send our condolences to his family,’’ the team wrote on its Facebook page. The Châteauguay Grenadiers also rendered homage to him as he was the coach of a juvenile team there. The Grenadiers and Chateauguay Minor Hockey offered their sympathies to the family. Daniel Hébert was found lifeless on November 6 in his vehicle in a ravine beside Autoroute 30, near Chateauguay. His loved ones had not heard from him in nine days. (translation Dan Rosenburg)
