The Chateauguay Soleil publishes some English versions of several articles on cybersoleil.com. Michel Thibault  Translation Dan Rosenburg To enable the readers to find them easily, these articles from now on will be grouped together in an ‘’English stories’’ section. This section is available in the menu placed in the upper left-hand corner of the screen at the entrance to cybersoleil.com. It is also visible by scrolling the news items towards the top of the screen. The newspaper has also created the ‘’Le Soleil English community group’’, connected and accessible via www.facebook.com/JournalLeSoleildeChateauguay/. The articles in English are shown there. The group created on September 25 has reached more than 1,000 members in one week. This is largely thanks to Chateauguay resident Donna MacDonald, administrator of the Facebook group called ‘’Chateauguay community – Communauté de Châteauguay’’, which has encouraged its 4,000 members to join the Chateauguay Soleil group. Ms. MacDonald also shares the newspaper’s English articles with her group. The newspaper greatly appreciates her cooperation because Facebook makes visible in the news stream of more people articles which are ‘’liked’’, shared and commented on by many people. The link of the ‘’English stories’’ section is included in the newspaper’s info-letter sent by email every Saturday at 7 a.m. It is possible to subscribe to it at cybersoleil.com. As the case may be, the Chateauguay Soleil’s info-letter can occasionally end up in the ‘’undesirable email’’ section for some unknown reason.
