The Montoni Group has several projects in mind for Châteauguay’s Industrial Park. The company, which specializes in the construction of industrial buildings, has acquired a piece of land and will complete the purchase of three others by the end of the summer, representing a total investment of over $90 million in the municipality.

"Chateauguay has a good labour pool and it is a good location for companies that are distributors or that are in contact with the United States and Ontario," said Marc-André Fullum, Montoni's Senior Director of Strategic Development, to explain the company's interest in the region.

The first project will be located on Bélanger Street and is already underway. The company has purchased 572,000 square feet of land to construct a building that will house two tenants. Fullum could not give further details on the nature of the businesses that will be located there due to confidentiality agreements at this time.

Among the three other projects being finalized with the City of Chateauguay is a one million square foot site across Highway 30 from Mercier. A 400,000 square foot building will be built on this site.

The City of Chateauguay has undertaken to put 4 million square feet in its industrial park up for sale in 2022.
