Kahnawake - COVID19-Health alert

(Kahnawake – 14, Ennisko:wa/March 2020) The Kahnawà;ke COVID-19 Pandemic Task Force would like to advise the community on important matters regarding the current Pandemic. The Task Force is strongly advising persons in the following groups to strictly limit their contact with the general public: • Persons age 70 and over; • Persons of any age with chronic medical conditions; and • Persons with weakened immune systems It is advised that these persons stay home and not go out in public in order to limit the risk of exposure to COVID-19 as much as possible. If you have family members who are in these categories, please ensure that this important information is passed on to them. Make no assumptions that everyone is receiving this important information. Additionally, when family members are visiting persons in the above groups, please avoid all direct contact. This includes actions as simple as hugs or handshakes. These measures are in place for their safety, as elders are at the greatest risk from COVID-19. Finally, do not visit if you have been outside the province of Québec in the past 14 days.
