La députée Shanahan salue l'élection de trois femmes dans son fief

La députée fédérale Brenda Shanahan salue la victoire de trois femmes sur le territoire de Châteauguay-Lacolle aux élections provinciales du 1^er octobre, soit MarieChantal Chassé, Claire Isabelle et Danielle McCann, toutes de la Coalition avenir Québec, victorieuses respectivement dans Châteauguay, Huntingdon et Sanguinet. «Je tiens à féliciter chaleureusement les nouvelles députées de Châteauguay, de Huntingdon et de Sanguinet. Nous pouvons être fiers en tant que société de constater que de plus en plus de femmes occupent des postes électifs et décisionnels. La pleine participation des femmes bénéficie à tout le monde et renforce notre communauté», exprime la députée Shanahan dans un communiqué. Les investissements dans les infrastructures constituent l’enjeu majeur que celle-ci envisage traiter avec les nouvelles élues provinciales et les maires et mairesses de la région. « Je suis impatiente de collaborer avec les nombreux intervenants de la région qui ont besoin de financement pour la construction et la mise à niveau d’installations qui favoriseront le bien-être à long terme de notre communauté, que ce soit dans le domaine de l’infrastructure sociale, numérique ou verte», fait-elle part. Elle rappelle que le gouvernement du Canada a mis en place «un plan historique d’investissement en infrastructure dont le processus l’approbation des projets fonctionne sur une base provinciale-fédérale».

The respective new MNAs are MarieChantal Chasse in Chateauguay, Claire Isabelle in Huntingdon and Danielle McCann in Sanguinet. ’’I want to warmly congratulate the newly-elected MNAs of Chateauguay, Huntingdon and Sanguinet.  We can be proud as a society to see more and more women getting elected and filling decision-making positions. The full participation of women benefits everyone and strengthens our community,’’ Shanahan declared in a communique. Investments in infrastructures constitute the major stake that she envisions treating with the new elected provincial officials and the mayors of the region. ‘’I look forward to working with the many stakeholders in the region who require funding to build and upgrade facilities that will enhance the well-being of our community on a long-term basis, whether in the area of social, digital and green infrastructures,’’ she explained. She reminds that the federal government has put in place ‘’an historic infrastructure investment plan with a project approval process that works on a provincial-federal basis.’’
