Lifting of restrictions on water consumption

Watering restrictions that have been in effect for the past few weeks are now lifted. Thanks to the measures adopted by the City and the collaboration of citizens, the demand on our water distribution network is back to normal. Lawn watering It is again allowed to water your lawn between 9 p.m. and midnight, on even days for residences with an even civic number and on odd days for residences with an odd number. A special permit may be delivered to water newly installed sod, between 9 p.m. and midnight, every day for a maximum of 10 days. It will be issued on request at no cost by the Division inspection et permis (450 698-3260). Patrols will be conducted to make sure that everyone complies with the measures in place. Non-compliance may lead to fines ranging from $120 to $2,000 (article 6.1, Chapter VI, General Rules Bylaw G-2000). Filling of pools and cleaning outdoors It is permitted to fill your pool between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am, except in the case of the installation of a new pool when it is possible to fill it during the day. The washing of driveways, sidewalks, patios and outside walls of buildings is only allowed between April 1 and May 15. It is therefore currently prohibited unless necessary for painting or landscaping work. There are some simple tips and tricks for saving water on a daily basis.
