The Kahnawake Peacekeepers arrested a 29-year-old man on Saturday May 1st after executing a search warrant meant to locate illicit drugs.
“Suspected amphetamines, a white powdery substance, and a prohibited weapon were seized as evidence” at a residence on Blind Lady’s Hill Road in Kahnawake, the police said in a press release. Nine police officers participated in the operation, which lasted about three hours from start to finish.
The man was released on a promise to appear. He is due in court on July 14th and could face charges of trafficking of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
