The list of schools affected by positive cases of COVID-19 is stretching to Chateauguay. Three establishments have been added in recent days. At the New Frontiers School Board, Harmony Elementary School in Chateauguay is reporting a confirmed case of the coronavirus. In a letter sent to parents, school principal Serge Dubuc states that the person concerned has not been at the school since September 9. “Sante Publique has informed us that due to their prolonged absence, the school and classroom can remain open,” he writes. St-Jude Elementary School in Chateauguay also informed parents on September 22 that one or more pupils have been declared positive. People having contact at risk with the positive case were informed by the Public Health Bureau. The Quebec government regularly updates its list of schools affected by the coronavirus. As of September 18, the professional training centres and training centres for adults affected have been added to its collection of known facts. The L’Accore Adult Education Centre in Chateauguay now appears on the list. The College Heritage in Chateauguay also counts a new case of COVID-19.
