On Wednesday, the City of Châteauguay a announced that the rinks maintained by city employees were now open. They are located at H.S. Billings, Marcel-Seers, Olivier and Sutterlin parks, as well as at the Agora. Chalets and amenities are open from 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm in order to comply with the curfew that is in effect until February 8th. Users must follow the health guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic. All boarded rinks have a maximum capacity of 25 users. People must skate alone or with their family bubble. Hockey is prohibited. Wearing a face covering and maintaining social distancing must be respected all times inside the chalets. The rinks at Saint-Denis and Josaphat-Pitre parks, which are maintained by volunteer citizens, will be open “soon”, according to the city. (Translation Amanda Bennett)
