The ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) announced that the work on the Honoré-Mercier Bridge between Montreal and Kahnawake will be done six days earlier than expected. Two lanes in both directions will be accessible again on Tuesday, August 11, at 5 A.M. Trucks will also be allowed to circulate during rush hours on the bridge again. Last week, the MTQ said they were confident to finish the work early for a second year in a row. Local radio of Kahnawake K107.3 reported this morning that the Mohawk Bridge Consortium finished its work Sunday, but that the MTQ wished to replace lamp posts on Monday.
