Starbucks, Boustan and Burger King will soon be part of the Centre Régional de Châteauguay’s service offer. Two new buildings in the centre’s parking lot will display these banners, confirmed Chiara Rivera, Marketing Coordinator for the Groupe Quint. One of the structures will have a surface area of 3700 square feet, the other 4500. These investments are part of the stimulus plan developed by Groupe Quint and Groupe Mach, who acquired the Centre Régional in May of 2016. Since then, two new buildings have been erected in the parking lot, one that houses Chocolats Favoris, Allô Mon Coco and Yuzu Sushi, the other is a branch of the RBC Royal Bank. New Boutiques New boutiques will eventually be included in the mall. “Yes, new tenants are on the way, but we cannot divulge their identity until they have signed,” Ms. Rivera mentioned. Impacts of the Pandemic Have the owners’ orientations changed due to the pandemic? “No,” Ms. Rivera replied. “We will certainly continue on with revitalizing the shopping centre, redesigning the mall’s exterior facade, building two new structures and reconfiguring a large portion of the site. However, we are obviously taking a look at each tenant’s situation on an individual basis by keeping communication lines open and ensuring that our changes have as little impact as possible on their operations. Construction must also be undertaken according to the standards and recommendations issued by Public Health due to the ongoing pandemic.” Translation Amanda Bennett
