Candidates for mayor Éric Allard, Lucie Lamoureux and Nathalie Simon all have assembled a team of councillor candidates for the election scheduled for November.

Only one independent candidate is running for a council position. He is François Le Borgne, a councillor from Youville District (8). He is seeking a second term.

Éric Allard, a city councillor from Châteauguay, has formed the Alliance Châteauguay-Équipe Éric Allard Team party and is now seeking the highest office in the city council. Four past councillors have joined his team.

Lucie Lamoureux has held various management positions during her career and was part of the City of Chateauguay's management team in 2020. She founded the Parti Impact Châteauguay and is running for mayor.

Nathalie Simon hopes to make a return to municipal politics with her team Citizens'Action. She served as mayor of Châteauguay from 2009 to 2017, when she lost the election to Pierre-Paul Routhier.

The latter had already announced he would not seek a second term as mayor.

In our upcoming print editions, Le Soleil de Châteauguay will question the Châteauguay mayoral candidates on various issues affecting the municipality.
