«We love you, we are super happy!»

Their home destroyed by a fire last December, Jacques Corbeil, Chantal Clement and their two children on Saturday officially received the gift of a new house constructed thanks to donations.

«It's really incredible! We are surrounded by a troop of angels who have changed our lives. We love you! We are super happy! » attested Chantal Clement in the middle of Bienville street in Chateauguay where the family was invited to discover its new address. More than 200 people welcomed them, including the firemen, the first to come to their rescue, and, of course, Michel Enault, the businessman who led to fruition this project of putting a roof back over the heads of the disaster victims.

« What we feel inside of us is crazy! We are happy to be living in a community such as yours, » said Corbeil, with tremors in his voice. The couple and elected officials present – Mayoress Nathalie Simon, MNA Pierre Moreau and MP Sylvain Chicoine – directed particular thanks to Enault and all the donors who enabled the family to start all over again.

Enault reminded those assembled that a multitude of entrepreneurs had given the time and their best materials and that the population at large had also been very generous. « It's unbelievable! I did research on the internet and nothing like this had ever been done. It's a real love story, » he noted.
