Harmony School : Parking lot expansion and addition of soccer fields

The parking lot at Harmony School in Châteauguay will be expanded and soccer fields will be added to the school grounds. Work began on Monday, March 22nd. Excavation M Leclerc, from La Présentation, was awarded the City of Châteauguay contract valued at $378,000 following a call for tenders. Competition was fierce. According to the Quebec government’s electronic system for calls for tender (Système électronique d’appel d’offres - SEAO), 19 companies submitted a quote for completing the work. On its website, the City of Châteauguay specified that the project will be undertaken in two phases:

• Phase 1, from March 22 to mid-April: creation of a retention basin, installing pipes, building the foundations, etc.
• Phase 2, from June 28th to mid-July: building the concrete borders, laying asphalt, levelling future soccer fields, and hydraulic seeding.
