The Kahnawake Mohawk Peacekeepers conducted a radar operation on Highway 138 on the morning of July 7.

« Officers issued 8 speeding and 3 move-over law citations in just over an hour », informs the police organization on Facebook.

The highest speed that was caught during that operation was 128 km/h. The speed limit on the highway is 70 km/h. A fine of 871$ was issued in that case, informs Kyle Zachary, Peacekeepers spokesperson.

For move-over law offences, the fines issued can go from $200 to $300.

« Please drive responsibly, for the safety of yourself, your passengers and other motorists sharing the road », they add.
