The Kahnawake Mohawk Peacekeepers conducted a radar operation on Highway 138 on the morning of July 7. "Officers issued 8 speeding and 3 move-over law citations in just over an hour", informs the police organization on Facebook. The highest speed that was caught during that operation was 128 km/h. The speed limit on the highway is 70 km/h. A fine of 871$ was issued in that case, informs Kyle Zachary, Peacekeepers spokesperson. For move-over law offences, the fines issued can go from $200 to $300. "Please drive responsibly, for the safety of yourself, your passengers and other motorists sharing the road", they add.
