$3.8M in Parks

The City of Châteauguay is injecting $3.8M into is parks as the warmer weather approaches. Four of them will be fitted with new elaborate water parks. New play modules and sanitary installations will also appear in certain locations, as will picnic tables, garbage bins and drinking fountains. Work should be completed before the end of the school year. "These investments meet the needs that have been expressed by citizens for years, and I am convinced that the quality of the infrastructures that will be installed in our parks will rise to their expectations. I’m even predicting that they will surpass expectations!” indicated Mayor Pierre-Paul Routhier in a press release. "In addition to improving current equipment, we are also developing in sectors where shortcomings had been identified, which is extremely important to us,” he emphasized. Splash Pads Jeux New splash pads with a minimum surface area of 3200 square feet (300 m2), will be installed at Alfred-Dorais Park (Primeau), Elmridge Park (Elmridge), Philippe-Bonneau Park (Craik) andVincent Park. "Each park will have its own theme (nature, sailing, shapes and colours and pirates, respectively) as well as a spectacular major attraction that will entertain young people for hours!” the City informed.
