The parents of Howard S. Billings High School in Chateauguay received confirmation Wednesday afternoon that a COVID-19 case has been recorded at the establishment. In a letter sent to the parents, a copy of which was obtained by Le Soleil, school principal Lynn L’Esperance specifies that the families of students who were in the affected bubbles are being contacted directly. “The school will remain open and we will continue to take all the measures necessary to prevent further spreading,”: it was indicated in the letter. The school is asking that the families be vigilant concerning the state of health of their loved ones and that they should contact 1-877-844-4545 in case of symptoms which appear to be that of COVID-19. Let us remember that as of today, new measures are put in place in the schools in the red zone. A mask is mandatory at all times in the high schools. And pupils in secondary four and five alternate between home schooling and class. (Translation Dan Rosenburg)
