A committee will meet to discuss the uses of parc Joseph-Allard, in Châteauguay, on July 27. The location close to the lac Saint-Louis, victim of its own success since the beginning of summer, is causing many issues. The working group is formed by representatives of residents and users of the site accompanied by representatives of the Police Department, Community Life and Public Works. "Among the topics that will be discussed are authorized activities, signage, facilities and opening hours, not to mention the issue of parking”, indicates the City in a press release. The mayor, Pierre-Paul Routhier, opposed a proposition to ban parking on a section of boulevard d’Youville recently. The access was then limited to residents and members only. The working group must submit a final report to City Council by August 12. Its mandate is to find solutions to address all the involved parties’ concerns.
