Accident à Kahnawake: la pire expérience de sa vie

(English Follows)Nissy Nicholas revenait de Montréal le mercredi 29 mai en après-midi. Roulant sur la route 138/132 à Kahnawake elle était coincée dans la congestion à la suite d'un accident. Des véhicules d'urgences passaient rapidement à côté d'elle. Puis le choc: son conjoint était impliqué dans l'accident.  « La pire expérience de ma vie. Le camion de mon copain était renversé. Je remercie Dieu qu’il soit toujours en vie aujourd’hui », a-t-elle témoigné au Soleil de Châteauguay. «Il souffre de douleur au corps, mais il prend du mieux plus rapidement que prévu», a-t-elle fait savoir au Journal, lorsque questionné sur son état de santé. Trois véhicules ont été impliqués. L’incident s’est produit vers 16h30 à la hauteur de la station-service First Choice Gas and Convenience. Selon ce que lui a raconté son conjoint, il aurait été percuté par l’arrière par un camion cube. Il n’avait aucun moyen de se tasser pour éviter le contact. Le camion venait à vive allure. «S’il vous plaît ralentissez, j’ai failli perdre mon copain et ses enfants ont failli perdre leur père», exhorte Mme Nicholas. Trois hommes âgés de 44, 47 et 45 ans ont été impliqués dans l’accident, ont indiqué les Peacekeepers, dont deux de ceux-ci ont été transportés à l'hôpital. Kahnawake accident: worst experience of her life

Translation Dan Rosenburg Nissy Nicholas was returning home from Montreal on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 29. Driving on Route 138/132 in Kahnawake, she was stuck in traffic following an accident. Emergency vehicles were rapidly passing her. Then came the shock: Her   boyfriend was involved in the mishap! This was the ‘’worst experience of my life, especially for my boyfriend. His truck flipped over. God is good and I thank God he's alive today,’’ Nicholas told the Chateauguay Soleil. ‘’He is doing better than expected. He is suffering lots of body pain but overall, he will be ok,’’ she told the newspaper when questioned about the state of his health. Three vehicles were involved. The accident took place at about 4:30 p.m., opposite the First Choice Gas and Convenience service station. According to what her boyfriend told her, his vehicle was struck from behind by a cube truck. He had no way of avoiding the contact. The cube truck was coming very fast. ‘’Please, people, slow down. I almost lost my boyfriend. His kids almost lost their father,’’ Nicholas exhorted. Three men aged 44, 47 and 45 were involved in the mishap, indicated the Kahnawake Peacekeepers. Two of the men were transported to hospital.
