Canada Day celebration in Chateauguay

Faithful to the tradition, Canada Day will once again be celebrated in Chateauguay.
As an entree, a fireworks display will light up the sky above the Chateauguay River on Tuesday, June 30 at 9 :40 p.m. A main vantage point will be set up in front of Seers Park.
The following day, the general public is invited to the Citizens Square off Maple Blvd. for a series of entertainment spectacles from 12-10 p.m.
Magicians, firemen, pony rides, clowns, inflatable toys, a birthday cake and a flag ceremony will notably be part of the program, along with several concerts. Admission is free.
The day is being organized this year in conjunction with the City, by the Chateauguay & Valley Irish Heritage Association, which also operates the annual Chateauguay St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
The group took over the responsibility from the Canada Day Celebration Corporation, which will continue to take care of Tuesday’s fireworks.
