Surveillance of the worksite
The City of Chateauguay has awarded the Civitas Group with a contract worth $312,000 for effecting surveillance of the worksite for one year. A two-year option worth $625,000 could be added. The multiple worksites under way and to come in the municipality justify this action, said Mayor Pierre-Paul Routhier at the Council assembly of June 15. “We need to assure ourselves that the works are going to be done correctly, according to the actual norms,” he stated. <@Rb>(M.T; Tr: D.R.)<@$p>
The City of Chateauguay granted a $35,000 contract to the Services d’arbres Primeau enterprise for cutting down dangerous trees in the St. Jean stream territory. In many cases, they consist of Ash trees that have fallen victims to emerald ash borer insects. >@Rb>(M.T.; Tr: D.R.) <@$p>
The City of Chateauguay has acquired ten speed pedagogical notices from the Traffic Logix company for the sum of $35,000. That brings the total obtained to 16. These signs will be used at the rate of two per district. Their purchase is linked to the reduction of speed permitted that will affect several streets in the City shortly.
The City of Chateauguay is paying a contribution of $8,500 to the Red Cross for supporting its mission in 2020. That represents 17 cents per inhabitant. The group in the past has offered excellent services during disasters in the municipality, Mayor Pierre-Paul Routhier emphasized. <@Rb>(M.T.; Tr: D.R.) <@$p>
