Chateauguay’s elected officials are asking for the creation of a bus service between their city and the station in Dorval.

They formulated a request of support to that effect to the EXO administration council at their February public meeting.
The gesture stems from the possibility that the future Metropolitan Express Network (REM) is lengthened from Montreal’s Pierre-Elliott Trudeau Airport to the Dorval Via Rail Station situated 700 metres further away. It is a project whose feasibility is being evaluated by Transport Canada.
If it comes to pass, a bus route between Chateauguay and Dorval will offer collective transport users a direct link to the station, the airport, the REM and an industrial park west of the island of Montreal (Dorval, Pointe Claire, Lachine and St. Laurent), the elected officials explained in their resolution that was adopted unanimously.
A common transport service between Chateauguay and West of Montreal would constitute a first.
