Défilé de la Saint-Patrick à Châteauguay

(English follows) Le traditionnel défilé de la Saint-Patrick est prévu dimanche, 24 mars, à Châteauguay. La population est invitée à se rassembler le long du boulevard D’Anjou pour l’apprécier. Le vert cortège partira à 13h de l’intersection de cette artère et de la rue Yvon, près du boulevard Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Il descendra jusqu’au boulevard Maple qu’il empruntera jusqu’à la rue McLeod pour terminer son parcours à l’école St-Willibrord. La circulation sera perturbée. Entre autres, les boulevards D’Anjou et Maple, ainsi que la rue McLeod seront partiellement fermés entre 11h30 et 15h. Des rues secondaires seront aussi inaccessibles et le stationnement y sera prohibé pendant une partie de la journée. Tous les détails figurent au cybersoleil.com. Le défilé est organisé depuis 15 ans par l’Association héritage irlandais Châteauguay et Vallée avec le soutien de la Ville de Châteauguay et la contribution de plusieurs organismes et entreprises de la région.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Sunday

Michel Thibault  Translation Dan Rosenburg mthibault@gravitemedia.com The traditional 15th annual Chateauguay St. Patrick’s Day Parade is scheduled  for Sunday, March 24. The general public is invited to gather along D’Anjou Blvd. to enjoy it.  The green procession will leave the intersection of D’Anjou and Yvon street near St. Jean-Baptiste Blvd. at 1 p.m. It will continue on to Maple Blvd. which it will take until McLeod street before finishing its route at St. Willibrord School. Traffic will be disrupted. Among others, D’Anjou and Maple boulevards, as well as McLeod street, will be partially closed between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Secondary streets will also be inaccessible and parking will be prohibited during part of the day. The parade is being organized for the 15^th year by the Chateauguay and Valley Irish Heritage Association with the support of the City of Chateauguay and the contribution of several groups and enterprises in the region.
