En deuil d’un homme «aux multiples talents»

(English follows) La famille d’un homme de Léry est sous le choc après que ce dernier ait été emporté par un foudroyant cancer.
Ross McKeating, qui était âgé de 56 ans, est décédé le 9 juin. «Il a appris qu’il avait un cancer du cerveau en phase terminale il y a seulement six semaines», confie sa fille Bonnie McKeating. Elle décrit son père comme un homme aux multiples talents, qui était très impliqué dans sa communauté. «Il était inventeur, musicien dans un groupe punk rock, collectionneur de musique. Il jouait depuis de nombreuses années dans une équipe de soccer de la région et a fondé sa propre compagnie de toiture de métal à Châteauguay», énumère-t-elle.
McKeating était également bien connu dans l’organisation des anciens de l’école H.S Billings. La page Facebook du groupe (Howard S. Billings Alumni) a d’ailleurs affiché une photo de lui en guise d’hommage.
Ses funérailles se tiendront à l’église St Andrew’s (46 rue Dupont O), ce samedi, à 13h.

Ross McKeating, 56, died on June 9. ‘’He learned that he had brain cancer in a terminal phaseonly six weeks ago,’’ confided his daughter Bonnie McKeating. She described her father as a man of multiple talents, who was very involved in his community. ‘’He was an inventor, a musician in a punk-rock group, and a music collector. He played for many years on a soccer team in the region and founded his own metal roofing company in Chateauguay,’’ she enumerated.
McKeating was also well known in the organization of Howard S. Billings High School alumni. The Facebook page of the Howard S. Billings Alumni moreover posted a photo of him in the form of a tribute.
Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew’s Church (46 Dupont West) this Saturday at 1 p.m.
