Eighth candidate Joins Éric Allard’s team

Aspiring Chateauguay mayor Éric Allard introduces his eighth candidate for the November election. Completing the team, Sylvie Castonguay wants to bring her business experience to public service. As vice-president of operations for a retail chain, Castonguay has worked in human resources management, as well as customer service and marketing. She also oversaw budget and loss prevention planning – skills she would like to bring to municipal council. “I hope to put my professional and personal experiences to good use for this city that I love! I care about the well-being of the people”, the candidate said in a press release. It has to come from my role in human resources management! I want to get involved to improve the quality of life for all of us, to preserve our beautiful green spaces and to develop projects in a responsible and respectful manner that will make Chateauguay a city that will flourish and of which we will be proud of". Éric Allard says he is happy with the choice. "She has already proven her strong ability to bring people together behind a common project, as she did with the citizen's committee for the parking on Boulevard D'Youville". With the latest recruit, Allard's party reaches parity between men and women among council candidates. Like all cities across the province, Chateauguay will hold its next election on November 7, 2021.
