Garage sales in May

Chateauguay citizens will be able to hold garage sales on May 22nd and 23rd. Those dates are the first of three weekends during which the municipality will authorize the activity during the year. Those interested will be able to sell their used items in front of their properties between 8am and 8pm on Saturday and Sunday. The City website reminds the population that advertising beyond one’s own yard is prohibited. That being said, addresses can be registered on an interactive map that the City publishes for deal hunters. Garage sales will also be permitted on July 10th and 11th, as well as September 11th and 12th. COVID-19 health guidelines must be respected. “Garage sales could be cancelled in accordance with government directives,” the City warned. (Translation Amanda Bennett)
