Partenariat entre Kahnawake et la CCQ pour intégrer les Mohawks à l'industrie de la construction

(English follows) La Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) et les autorités de Kahnawake ont conclu un nouveau partenariat pour aider les travailleur mohawks à intégrer l’industrie de la construction. Un comité de travail, composé des représentants du Bureau du travail de Kahnawake, du Conseil mohawk de Kahnawake, de Tewatohnhi'saktha, du Secrétariat aux affaires autochtones, du Secrétariat du travail et de la CCQ a été mis sur pied en ce sens, fait part la CCQ dans un communiqué le 2 mars. «Le comité prévoit émettre ses premières recommandations dès cette année. Les associations patronales et syndicales ont accepté de contribuer et seront informées des progrès du comité : elles ont déjà commencé à travailler avec les partenaires et des personnes de Kahnawake en vue de l’intégration de travailleurs mohawks», informe la CCQ.

Translation Dan Rosenburg The Quebec Construction Commission (CCQ) and the Kahnawake authorities have concluded a new partnership to help Mohawk workers to integrate the construction industry. A work committee, composed of representatives from the Office of Tewatohnhi’saktha, the Secretariat of Aboriginal Affairs, the Secretariat of Labour and the CCQ was launched in this direction, according to the CCQ in a communique on March 2. «The committee foresees announcing its first recommendations as early as this year. The patronal associations and syndicates accepted to contribute and will be informed of the committee’s progress : they have already started to work with the partners and people from Kahnawake for the integration of Mohawk workers,’’ the CCQ informed.
