Man arrested again, charged with harassing a child

Francis Lacroix, 26, of Chateauguay, has once more been arrested by Chateauguay police last Thursday and has been charged with harassment of a child.
The man appeared in court Thursday and remains behind bars, according to Chateauguay police agent Nathalie Langevin. Lacroix must also answer to charges of breaking conditions.
He was stopped by Chateauguay police following a complaint from a pupil of Gerin Lajoie elementary school. The child reported being followed by a man on board a car while she was walking to school. The car in question, a red 2013 Hyundai Accent, was known to police.
Lacroix had been arrested last April and charged of criminal harassment of three young girls of minor age and of a break of conditions linked to a dossier of sexual aggression. The man addressed the girls while at the wheel of his red car. A source had indicated to Le Soleil last spring that Lacroix had followed her five-year-old daughter for three days.
The police are inviting all persons with information connected with the latest events to communicate with Detective-Sergeant Katerine Laberge at 450-698-3223.
