The report from the Urban Conscience firm hired to consult the Chateauguay population regarding a public place project in front of the St. Joachim Church is expected in March.
The loan bylaw of $2.5 million adopted by the City to produce the project ‘’is currently in the validation process with the judicial affairs management of the Municipal Affairs and Habitations Ministry,’’ the municipality informs. ‘’We don’t know if it is going to cost $2.5 million. That will depend on the project. Perhaps it will cost $500,000,’’ expressed Mayor Pierre-Paul Routhier at the Chateauguay public City Council meeting in January. He reiterated that he was hoping to see an attractive arrangement at the site with a fountain.
