In July, the City of Châteauguay awarded a $1 million contract to Tessier Récréo-Parc Inc. for the installation of new play structures at Elmridge, Philippe-Bonneau, and Alfred-Dorais parks.

Mayor Eric Allard informed the city council in July that the work should be completed "no later than this fall."

The City began updating its parks in 2021. That summer, four new splash pad installations were added to Alfred-Dorais, Vincent, Elmridge, and Philippe-Bonneau parks. Vincent, Concord, and Georges-Étienne-Cartier parks also received new play structures.
