He was identified as ‘’a deserving fan’’ for having embodied and promoted positivity in his community in spite of his serious injury. He had the chance to see his favourite player, netminder Carey Price. Carter also saw Habs’ head coach Claude Julien close-up at the game against the Boston Bruins.
The 13-year-old boy is adept at basketball. He is currently part of the Ravens team in the Chateauguay Basketball Association. During his recovery, he often watched hockey on television to find some comfort.
‘’In keeping his contagious sense of humour, he showed that regardless of anything that happens to us, positivity is a crucial asset that helps to overcome any type of challenge,’’ it was mentioned in a communique about him.
The program team announced his selection for that evening on Sunday, November 24 at his home, with Canadiens mascot Youppi in attendance. ‘’I was really excited,’’ confided Carter prior to his thrilling rendez-vous
The boy had been injured in the foot by a truck while crossing Maple Blvd. in Chateauguay in April of 2019.
