At the January 23 City Council meeting, Châteauguay officials unanimously voted in favor of a loan bylaw of $282 000 for lighting conversion work in the territory’s sports fields.

“We’re talking about a three-year loan bylaw, from 2023 to 2025 to complete lighting work in eight Châteauguay parks,” indicated Mr. George Dolhan, City Clerk.
He added that in 2023 the new LED lights would first be installed in Jules-Léger and Joseph-Laberge Parks.
“This loan bylaw will pay for itself over a five-to-seven-year period in relation to current energy costs,” Mr. Dolhan specified.
